Chris Forte is a managing director of Capital Markets | Real Estate Finance at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Bethesda, Maryland. In this role, Forte is responsible for nationwide loan originations and specializes in financing conventional multifamily, affordable, manufactured, seniors, and student housing. He has more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience and has participated in the origination of more than $15 billion in loan production.
Prior to his current role, Forte served as senior vice president of underwriting operations and deputy chief underwriter at Walker & Dunlop, where he led a team that closed more than $5.5 billion in multifamily real estate loans. Before that, he held roles in multifamily underwriting and multifamily securitization at Freddie Mac.
Forte earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and a master's degree in real estate from Georgetown University. Outside the company, he is member of the Urban Land Institute. He has three children and lives in Washington, D.C.
