David Potarf is a managing director of Capital Markets | Investment Sales at Walker & Dunlop and is based in Denver, Colorado. In this role, he is responsible for the marketing and sale of multifamily assets throughout the Denver and Mountain West markets. Since joining the firm in 2021, he has focused on advising institutional and private clients on multifamily investment sales. He has more than 28 years of experience in the sale, acquisition, and advisory of multifamily assets in the Denver region. Together with his team, he has sold more than 100,000 units totaling approximately $20 billion in 450 multifamily property transactions.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Potarf served as an executive vice president in CBRE’s Capital Markets Group, where he specialized in multifamily investment sales in the Denver region. Before that, he worked in investment sales at Marcus & Millichap.

Potarf earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of San Diego and a master’s degree in business administration from San Diego State University.
