about John Hinder

John Hinder, Managing Director, specializes in multifamily financing and is responsible for new loan originations nationwide. Mr. Hinder will play a leading role in the growth of the multifamily small loans team, helping to provide sustainable and affordable financing solutions for smaller apartment properties. Throughout his career, Mr. Hinder has participated in the origination and underwriting of over $4.7 billion in transactions, and he has been engaged on large portfolios and transactions nationwide.

Mr. Hinder joined Walker & Dunlop as an underwriting analyst in 2007 and was promoted to underwriter in 2008.  In 2009, he moved into the production department as a loan officer.  He has amassed experience with conventional multifamily housing, manufactured housing, seniors housing, student housing, and affordable housing.

Mr. Hinder graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina.
