Geoff Smith is the Senior Managing Director, Group Head of Debt, and Chief Production Officer at Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners. In his role, Mr. Smith is responsible for investing in real estate debt and equity assets across the country. He specializes in investment banking, mortgage origination, trading, syndication, and has invested over $17 billion throughout his career. Mr. Smith’s experience includes creating and operating commercial real estate debt, mezzanine and equity platforms, serving on investment committees and boards, and participating in capital formation strategies.

Prior to joining W&D, Mr. Smith served as a senior executive serving in various capacities including origination, credit, asset management and trading with Hudson Realty Capital, Natixis, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan and Nomura Securities.

Mr. Smith earned his AB in Economics and History from Duke University.
