John Melody
Director, Capital Markets
John Melody is a director of Capital Markets at Walker & Dunlop. In his role, he is responsible for sourcing, structuring, and closing debt financing for acquisitions, refinances, repositioning and ground up construction projects.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Melody worked as a Real Estate Investment Banking Associate at Jones Lang LaSalle. There, he was responsible for underwriting transactions and sourcing debt and equity for all property types, including multifamily, student housing, industrial, retail, office, self-storage, and senior housing. Before joining JLL, Mr. Melody was an associate for Cadence Bank, N.A. where he was responsible for underwriting and screening real estate lending opportunities.
Mr. Melody is a graduate of the Dartmouth College where he earned a bachelor’s degree.
