Mo Beler is a senior managing director of Capital Markets and co-head of Equity & Structured Finance at Walker & Dunlop and is based in New York, New York. In this role, Beler leads the sourcing and structuring of equity and structured finance placements across all commercial real estate asset classes nationwide. He focuses on equity solutions across the capital stack, including preferred equity and joint venture equity, and advises clients on programmatic capital raises, recapitalizations, acquisitions, and dispositions. Throughout his career, he has capitalized more than $20 billion in real estate transactions, with a primary focus on common LP and preferred equity placements and strategic capital partnerships.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Beler founded and led Beler Advisory Group, which was acquired by Walker & Dunlop in 2020. Before founding the firm, he served as vice chairman of New York City institutional investment sales at JLL Capital Markets, where he oversaw property valuation, marketing, negotiations, and new business development and was directly involved in commercial transactions totaling more than $2 billion. Earlier in his career, he was principal and head of investments at Innovo Property Group and vice president in the acquisitions group at Rockwood Capital. Throughout his career, he has generated more than $30 billion in multi-sector investment and advisory experience across the capital stack.
Beler earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, graduating with high distinction.
