President of Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners
Mitchell Resnick is the President of Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners, the firm’s registered investment advisor. In this role he oversees the firm’s fund management business as well as our proprietary lending platforms. He joined Walker & Dunlop in 2016, as part of the Proprietary Capital group, was named the firm’s Treasurer in January 2018 and assumed his current role in March 2022.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Resnick served as a Vice President in the Multifamily Division at Freddie Mac, where he managed Freddie Mac’s K-deal, multifamily loan pricing, and other securitization programs. Before Freddie Mac, Mr. Resnick was employed at Goldman Sachs as a Vice President in the Real Estate Finance Group. In this role he was co-head of the Capital Markets area where he was responsible for the pricing and distribution of commercial real estate loans. During his 15-year career at Goldman, Mr. Resnick also ran the Structured Products Syndicate Desk in London as well as the secondary CMBS trading book in New York. Earlier in his career, he was an underwriter and analyst for various commercial real estate firms.
Mr. Resnick holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
Beyond the Company, Mr. Resnick serves on the Boards of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council & the Rehoboth Beach Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Mr. Resnick has lectured at various universities along the East Coast including Georgetown, George Washington, American, Rutgers and the University of Maryland & University of Virginia.
