about William Shell

With over 10 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, William Shell, Senior Director, is responsible for new loan originations for multifamily properties across the country. Throughout his career, Mr. Shell has developed extensive expertise in the manufactured housing and student housing asset classes. Mr. Shell also specializes in conventional multifamily loan originations through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, bridge, CMBS, and HUD executions.

Mr. Shell joined Walker & Dunlop in 2007 as a member of the company’s multifamily underwriting department. In 2012, he was promoted to the multifamily finance department, joining Will Baker in loan originations. Since then, he has assisted Mr. Baker in the origination, underwriting, and closing of over $5.0 billion in Agency financing.

Mr. Shell holds a Bachelor of Science in economics and business from Hampden-Sydney College where he was captain of the lacrosse team.
