Adam Schwartz is a senior managing director of Capital Markets and co-head of Institutional Advisory at Walker & Dunlop and is based in New York, New York. In this role, he is responsible for sourcing and structuring debt and equity financing across all commercial real estate asset classes nationwide and serves as co-head of the New York capital markets practice. Throughout his career, he has executed more than $20 billion in debt and equity transactions.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Schwartz co-founded AKS Capital Partners, which was later acquired by Walker & Dunlop, and helped build the firm into one of the highest-producing capital markets advisory firms in the United States. During his tenure, the firm originated more than $50 billion in debt and equity financing for commercial real estate owners and operators nationwide. Before that, he served as a managing director and partner at JLL’s New York debt and equity capital markets practice. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Cooper Horowitz and Arbor Realty Trust.

Schwartz earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a member of the men’s tennis team and served as team captain during his senior year. His team has been named to Commercial Observer’s 50 Most Powerful People in Commercial Real Estate Finance since 2018.
