Keith Kurland is a Senior Managing Director, Capital Markets, and Co-Head of Institutional Advisory at Walker & Dunlop. Mr. Kurland joined Walker & Dunlop in January 2020, as a result of the AKS Capital Partners acquisition. Mr. Kurland has placed over $35 billion of debt and equity throughout his career and brings more than 12 years of commercial real estate experience.

As a Founding and Managing Partner at AKS Capital Partners, Mr. Kurland helped the firm become one of the highest producing capital markets advisory firms in the country, focusing on project-specific and portfolio-level debt and equity capital for real estate developers, institutional and entrepreneurial sponsors across all asset types nationally. Prior to founding AKS Capital Partners, Kurland served as Vice Chairman and Partner of JLL’s New York Debt and Equity Capital Markets practice. During his tenure, Mr. Kurland was named to Commercial Observer’s 2016 Top 25 Debt Brokers and Lenders under 35 and their 50 Most Powerful People in Commercial Real Estate Finance from 2016-2019.

Prior to his work at JLL, Kurland was a senior vice president at Meridian Capital Group and worked in CBRE’s Debt and Structured Finance group.

Mr. Kurland holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the Leeds School Business at the University of Colorado Boulder.
