ABOUT Randy Efron
Randy Efron is a vice president within Walker & Dunlop’s commercial property lending and Multifamily Finance groups and is based out of the Company’s New York City office. He specializes in floating rate first mortgage and mezzanine loans, fixed rate CMBS loans, and preferred equity for all property types nationwide. Mr. Efron also provides Fannie, Freddie, HUD, and bridge financing for multifamily properties and has served in the capacities of owner, lender, and broker for all asset classes.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Efron worked in private equity as a member of a commercial real estate debt origination team at Hudson Realty Capital LLC and a vice president of acquisitions and asset management at Trinity Hotel Investors LLC. During that time, Mr. Efron invested capital on behalf of a discretionary real estate fund and raised joint venture equity to complete 90/10 acquisitions in a general partner capacity. Mr. Efron was also responsible for managing a $500 million hospitality real estate portfolio comprised of 22 hotels and resorts throughout the United States and Europe with 5,000 keys, 12 brands, and 7 management companies. In this capacity, he completed over $100 million of capital improvement and redevelopment projects and restructured nearly $250 million of commercial real estate debt.
Aside from private equity, Mr. Efron worked in net lease investment sales at Stan Johnson Company where he specialized in sale leasebacks and equity raises for build-to-suits. Prior to this, he specialized in land acquisition and development at KB Home and Lennar, and accounting at Deloitte.
Mr. Efron holds a Master of Science in real estate finance and investment from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of South Florida. Additionally, he is a certified public accountant (inactive) and a licensed real estate broker.
